Wendy Cheshire
Member BATD - Co-Founder of the school over 50 years ago
Age 3 I started dancing at the Doreen School of Dance followed by attendance at Tring Arts School. Later I was in Terry's Juveniles dance troupe in London's West End and performed in panto at the Brighton Hippodrome. Further on setting up my own school: The Cheswood School of Dance.
Jackie Chambers
Associate BATD Tap and Ballet teacher
Jackie started dancing at the age of 8 with the school and became a teacher when she was 18. Jackie later qualified as a teacher under the BATD. and has been teaching ever since.
She also has choreographed and directed the local Pepper Foundation summer shows for many years while it was at the Centenary Theatre.
Karen Tierney
Associate BATD - Tap and Ballet teacher
Karen started dancing at the age of 8 with the school and became a teacher when she was 20. Karen later qualified as a teacher under the BATD and has been teaching with the school ever since.
Amy Chambers
Trainee teacher in Tap and Ballet
Amy started dancing at the school at the age of 4, studying both Tap and Ballet. Amy then went to study dance in higher education at the University of Bedfordshire specialising in Contemporary dance.
Since graduating with a First class BA (Hons) in Dance and Professional Practice, Amy has been working towards her teachers exam with the school while also undertaking other freelance dance projects.
